The Renaissance School Space Camp

Renaissance School teacher Eve Dubois attended the Honeywell Space Camp for Teachers at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama last summer. She had many adventures there including several astronaut training activities. In her own words, ”Every activity at Space Camp was out of this world, and the most valuable experience happened when I was operating out of my comfort zone, trying things I normally would not even consider.”  This summer she shared those experiences with a group of summer camp children.  She helped them to simulate a lunar landing, build a space station and orbiter, do planet observation using several different approaches, and build their own rockets.
