On a bright and crisp fall day, two pre-kindergarten classes from the Heartworks School in Shelburne enjoyed a morning at Shelburne Orchards.  Upon arrival, the children noticed how many different varieties of apples the orchard grows and were excited to know what color they would be picking. 

Before the picking began, the children enjoyed a little snack which, of course, included a very special treat of Shelburne Orchards’ own cider doughnuts!  The children filled a big bag of apples very quickly and then had some time to play games among the apple trees.  There are certain to be some delicious apple treats at the school over the next few weeks!
