An Evening with Shakespeare at The Renaissance School

puck-and-hermia.jpgOn Wednesday, May 9, students in the third, fourth, fifth and sixth grades at The Renaissance School staged a production titled "An Evening with Shakespeare."  The production, directed by their Music and Drama teacher, Kelly Becker, was a compilation of work they had done over the semester.

The show was a great success!  The students did an excellent job learning to use and to work with the style of Shakespeare.  The comical moments of a "A Midsummer Night's Dream" were well executed by its players.

sheet-music.jpgThe performance was staged before a full house of friends and family.  The hard work of the students, as well as the support of the families, faculty and staff, was much in evidence throughout the evening.  In the words of the show's director, Kelly Becker, "It takes a village to bring all the pieces together."
