The Renaissance School held its annual May Day celebration on Monday May 21, 2012.  This annual event is a celebration of the beauty of spring and finds children singing and dancing the maypole with family and friends.  Colorful May Day crowns are made in advance for children to wear during the event.  Tables of fresh strawberries and special treats are also part of the festivities.  The children’s jazz ensemble provided some of the music along with the school’s music teacher, Kelly Becker.   This school tradition happens in all the Heartworks Schools as well The Renaissance School and is eagerly anticipated every spring.
