Each month we gather for an all school assembly. Each class has a month that they are able to share what they have been learning about in their classroom. For the month of January, we all gathered in Amber’s classroom to learn about the rainforest. The children had spent the month gathering information and transforming their classroom into a rainforest. As we looked at the class Great Kapok Tree, we learned how important this tree is to the rainforest. The friends in Ambers class taught us about the different layers of the rainforest and we saw many animals that call the rainforest home, including some very elaborate pattern snakes. Finally, Amber's friends shared an animal boogie song, that got the whole school up and singing and dancing.
