May Day

Mother Nature was on our side once again this year and gave us a perfect day to enjoy our May Day Celebration. The waterfront was in all its glory; bright  skies (no rain!), bursting spring flowers, green grass, and calm wind. The children, in their spring best, each wearing a May Day crown, were so excited. Each class did a beautiful job dancing and singing around the may pole ~ the colored ribbons brilliantly winding around the may pole and flying in the breeze. Everyone enjoyed a delicious picnic snack of cheese, crackers and strawberries and the company of family and friends.

“Here we go round the May Pole high, the May Pole high, the May Pole high. Here we go round the May Pole high, let colored ribbons fly. Let colored ribbons fly…”
