The Renaissance School Summer Enrichment Academy

science_fairThe Summer Academy of 2008 has ended, and new forms and materials for our 2009 Summer Academy will be available here in January. Please check back then for brochures, applications and a listing of our Summer Academy offerings.

The Renaissance School Summer Academy is an academic day camp offering week long courses in particular fields of study with an experienced and enthusiastic instructor. Instructors are drawn from the faculty and staff of The Heartworks and Renaissance Schools as well as visiting teachers, all of whom specialize in the selected field of study. Students will enhance their talents and learn new skills in stimulating and nurturing environments. Much of the course work involves adventuring outside the classroom to capture the beauty of the summer season as well as to do practicial field work in each course of study. Coursework is limited to different themes, which are selected annually. Themes are generally chosen from the subject areas of science, drama, art and history.
