This establishment is top notch. My daughter did not have the social skills and behavior for dealing with children her own age as mine and my wife’s job were and still are demanding. Heartworks has done a fantastic job of making our daughter feel at home, and their patience and expertise is something that every parent and child should have the privilege of experiencing. Shout out to Ms. Nikki for being my daughters favorite person in the whole world. We can’t say enough good things about this place!

This is the first time that we have sent our children to daycare, and I am so glad that we chose Heartworks in Essex! Everyone here is pretty nice and keeps updates each day to let us know about the child. We love Amy, Crystal, and Demi, thank you all for your patience in taking care of the children and providing a nice environment for children!

I really appreciated how Tess spent time sitting with Parker doing a letter puzzle! It was also wonderful hearing that Parker really enjoyed music and was engaged!

We just switched our daughter to SteamWorks and could not be happier. Crystal is amazing with the kids and our daughter loves her. She has learned so much in the few weeks she has been with Crystal. We are beyond grateful for educators like Crystal who take the time to really work with kids, even at such a young age. We can tell she loves the kids and really loves her job!!

We have been a part of Heartworks in Essex for couple of years now and could not recommend it more. All of my son’s teachers have been dedicated, loving, committed. Lauren is always so positive and never stops thinking of new ways to engage the kids. They have monthly themes like meteorology or astrology and the kids learn so much every single day. Amy, the director is just amazing, always engaged and simply dedicated to her job.

Crystal at Steamworks has been truly amazing to have lead our sons' class. She has gone above and beyond to not only gain his trust and friendship this last year, but has gone above and beyond to advocate for him and work with him on a personal level. She has helped him grow and develop in ways we didn't think possible at the time. It is such a joy finding a care provider who cares as much as you do with each milestone gained or progress made. We consider ourselves exceptionally fortunate to have her in our class!

We love STEAMworks. It has been such a wonderful experience for our 4 year old son. Everyone is so friendly and they do many enriching activities that is helping to prepare him for elementary school. Miss Lauren has been the best and our son looks forward to seeing her everyday. The director Amy is amazing and treats every family with kindness and love.

Welcome to Heartworks Early Education in Essex, VT

Formerly known as STEAMworks Preschool, the STEAMworks preschool program will introduce children to important concepts and spark their natural curiosity in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. Students will learn from and be led by a highly knowledgeable and experienced team of early childhood educators who bring a passion for their craft and enthusiasm for teaching young children. STEAMworks is a critically important initiative for our schools and represents an excellent opportunity to combine Heartworks preschool practices, values and methods with a specific focus on STEAM exploration. Building on three years of success in providing an afternoon STEAM curriculum in the Heartworks Preschools, the opportunity to provide a full-day STEAM program is an important milestone for our students and families.
